Terms of Use
Last updated: 28 October 2026
This is an English translation. The Hungarian version is the authoritative one.
1. Who we are
cloud-apps.net is the hobby project of Bence Berényi, a private individual based in Hungary, who makes and runs it. His friends gave him very good feedback on it, so he decided to make it available to a wider audience. In these terms, “we” means him, the operator, and “you” means you, the person using the service.
The service provider’s details, as required by section 4 of the Hungarian e-commerce act (Act CVIII of 2001, Ekertv.):
- Name: Bence Berényi
- E-mail: [to be filled in: operator.email]
- Tax number: none
- Registration number: none
The hosting provider’s details:
- Name: DA International Group Ltd. (AlphaVPS)
- Address: 8 Asen Yordanov Blvd., Sofia, Bulgaria
- E-mail: sales@alphavps.com
- Web: https://alphavps.com
- Server location: Nuremberg, Germany
2. What we offer
cloud-apps.net offers games and apps that run in your browser: puzzles, logic and board games, two-player games for one device (such as chess, draughts and air hockey), and a virtual pet. One account works for all of them, and with it:
- your home screen shows your favourites and the apps you opened recently;
- your game progress and settings sync between your devices;
- you can invite friends with a personal invite link;
- in some games, you and your friends can compare your best scores on leaderboards that only you can see;
- you can use the apps without an internet connection.
Every app is free for everyone, there are no ads and no in-app purchases, and we don’t sell your data. If you like, you can support cloud-apps.net with a voluntary donation (see section 5). How we handle your data is described in the Privacy Notice; cookies and the data stored on your device are covered by the Cookie Policy.
3. How the contract is made
- When you sign up, you enter your e-mail address, a display name and a password, or you sign in with your Google account. Then you accept these terms — and that is when our contract is made.
- Before you send the sign-up form, you can correct anything in it; later, you can do so on the account page.
- You can make the contract in Hungarian, English or Spanish. We don’t put it in writing as a separate document or file it: the current terms are always on this page, and we record which version you accepted and when.
- If the terms change materially, the new version applies to you once you accept it (see section 13).
4. Your account
- You must be 16 or older to open an account.
- An account is for one person. Don’t share it, and don’t open one in someone else’s name.
- Use a real e-mail address of your own: that’s where we send messages about your account. After signing up, you get a confirmation link that shows the address is yours.
- Keep your password secret, and preferably don’t use it anywhere else. If you think someone else may have accessed your account, change your password and write to us.
- If you give your password or your account to someone else, you are responsible for what they do with it.
- Your display name can be up to 40 characters long. Your friends see it too, so it must not be offensive or misleading, and you must not pretend to be someone else.
- You can also sign in with your Google account. If an account with your Google e-mail address already exists here, we connect the two only after you confirm it from a link we send to that address. That way nobody can take over your account with a Google account that uses the same address.
- If an account’s e-mail address was never confirmed and the owner of that address sets a new password or connects a Google account from a link we e-mail, the earlier password, the earlier sign-ins and the invites sent from the account are cancelled. That way the account stays with whoever owns the e-mail address.
5. Free for everyone; voluntary support
- Every app is free for everyone: there is no paid version or subscription, and you never have to pay for anything.
- If paid options were ever introduced, they could only come with new terms, which apply to you only once you accept them (see section 13). Before any payment, those terms would clearly set out the price, the payment method and the cancellation rules, and tell you about your consumer rights, such as the right of withdrawal.
- Donations are handled by PayPal (PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., 22-24 Boulevard Royal, L-2449 Luxembourg) as an independent controller. PayPal’s own user agreement and privacy statement apply to the payment. We never see your card or PayPal account details.
- If you donate while signed in, or sign in in the same browser tab after donating, your account gets a symbolic Supporter badge (a heart). The badge is only a thank-you and comes with no advantages. It shows on your account page and to your friends: in your friends list and on the games’ leaderboards.
- We can also give the badge by hand (for example if you supported us some other way), and take it back if a donation turns out not to be genuine.
- We do not undertake to refund voluntary donations. If something went wrong with a payment (for example, it was made by mistake or without your knowledge), you can use PayPal’s own dispute process, and you can also write to us. This does not limit any rights that mandatory law gives you.
6. Acceptable use
Please use the service the way you would use a shared, quiet place. You must not:
- attack or overload the service, probe it for vulnerabilities, or put malicious code into it;
- download its content or data at scale with automated tools (scraping);
- get around its access rules — for example the restriction of apps meant for testers only, or the offline licence;
- cheat: send false or manipulated scores to the leaderboards, or claim a Supporter badge for a donation that never happened;
- abuse invites: spread them in bulk to people who didn’t ask for them, sell them, or use them to create fake accounts;
- harass others, or use offensive, misleading or unlawful names, notes or other content;
- act in someone else’s name, or sign in to someone else’s account.
If you find a security problem, please don’t exploit it — e-mail us instead. Thank you!
7. Friends and invites
- You can invite friends with a personal invite link. Whoever accepts it becomes your friend; someone without an account can also sign up with the link.
- Your friends see your display name, how long you have been friends, your best scores on the games’ leaderboards and, if you have one, your Supporter badge. The leaderboards are not public: your scores are seen only by you and your direct friends.
- An invite is valid for 14 days by default and can be used a limited number of times. You can revoke it at any time.
- Anyone who gets the link can use it, and whoever opens it sees your display name. So only send it to the people you want to invite, and don’t post it publicly.
- You can add a short note for yourself to an invite (for example, who it’s for). Apart from you, only we, the operator, can see it, for administration.
- You can remove a friend at any time.
8. Developers portal
- The developers portal (developers.cloud-apps.net) is in closed beta: only developers we have approved can use it. You can request access on the portal.
- Approved developers can submit app ideas, which are drafted with the help of artificial intelligence.
- Separate conditions may also apply to the portal; we publish them there.
- Submitting an idea doesn’t oblige us to build or publish it. We or others may already be working on something similar.
- If an app is made from an idea or description you submit, you give us a free, non-exclusive, worldwide and perpetual licence to use and adapt your text, and to build, develop and publish the app as part of cloud-apps.net. This licence remains after your account is deleted.
- Only submit what you have the right to, and don’t include other people’s personal data or secrets.
9. Intellectual property
- The apps, games, design, graphics and code are the intellectual property of us or of the apps’ developers.
- You may use them through cloud-apps.net for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, distribute or sell them, nor — beyond what the law allows — reverse-engineer their code.
- What’s yours stays yours: your name, your notes, your game progress and the ideas you submit (for ideas submitted on the developers portal, section 8 applies too). Beyond that, you give us only the rights we need to store them, sync them and show them to you — and, where a feature is meant for it, to others too (your display name and leaderboard scores, for example, to your friends, and your name also to whoever opens your invite).
10. Availability, offline use and sync
- We do our best to keep the service available, but we can’t guarantee that it will always work without interruptions or errors. It may be briefly unavailable for maintenance.
- Apps can change: they may get new features or be reworked, and some may be retired. Apps still in development can be seen and tried only by testers we choose; they stay hidden from everyone else until they are ready.
- The apps work without an internet connection. Your offline access is valid for up to 30 days; after that, you need to go online once to renew it.
- Your changes are stored on your device first and sync as soon as you are online. We merge changes made on different devices; if you change the same thing on two devices independently, in rare cases one of the changes may be overwritten.
- If you clear your browser data, changes that haven’t synced yet are lost.
11. Liability
- cloud-apps.net is a free hobby project, which we run with care. To the extent the law allows, we accept no liability for errors in the content of the site and the apps (for example a faulty puzzle or an inaccurate description), or for errors in their operation (for example an app that misbehaves, an outage, or a change lost because browser data was cleared before it synced).
- We are not liable for faults in your internet connection or your device, or for outages of other services (such as Google sign-in or PayPal). The apps and their content are made largely with AI, for entertainment: do not rely on them for decisions that need dependable information.
- We do not limit our liability for breaches of contract caused intentionally, by gross negligence or by a criminal act, or for breaches that harm human life, physical integrity or health (section 6:152 of the Hungarian Civil Code, Ptk.).
- These terms do not limit the rights consumers have under the law.
12. Ending your account
- You can delete your account at any time on the account page; you can download your data first. Your account’s data is deleted from the live database immediately, and disappears from the server’s daily local copies within 7 days and from the encrypted off-site backups within about 6 months.
- The developers portal’s data (your access request, the ideas and specifications you submitted, and the build runs) is not removed automatically when you delete your account. Write to us and we delete it within a month. Apps that have already gone live stay published as part of cloud-apps.net.
- In case of abuse — for example cheating, harassment, unlawful content, attacks on the service or repeated breaches of these terms — we may suspend the account and, in serious or repeated cases, ban it. We always act in proportion to the breach: where possible, we warn you first and give you a chance to explain.
- When we ban an account, we keep its e-mail address and the ID of its Google account even after the account is deleted, so that the same person cannot sign up again until the ban is lifted (see the Privacy Notice). If you think we made a mistake, write to us.
- If we ever shut down the service as a whole, we will announce it at least 30 days in advance, so you have time to download your data.
13. Changes to these terms
- If we change these terms, we show you the change at your next visit, on cloud-apps.net and in the apps.
- A material change applies to you once you accept it. If you don’t accept it, you can delete your account; you can download your data first.
- The current version is always on this page, with the date of the last update at the top.
14. Complaints and disputes
- You can send us questions and complaints by e-mail: [to be filled in: operator.email]. We reply in substance within 30 days.
- If you are a consumer and we can’t reach an agreement, you can turn to the conciliation board (békéltető testület) for your place of residence or stay (bekeltetes.hu), or go to court.
15. Governing law and language
- Hungarian law governs the contract. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection given to you by the mandatory rules of the country where you habitually live.
- These terms are available in Hungarian, English and Spanish. If the versions differ, the Hungarian version prevails.
